If I could change one thing in the world, it would be:	Turn off the TV and get people to think independently.
The greenest thing I do is:	I am the principal author of a biofuel business that replaces coal with renewable biomass from agricultural waste.
What does "sustainability" mean to me:	Using resources at a rate commensurate with nature's rate of recycling.
About Me	I am a physicist (PhD 1989) based at Whiteshell Labs. My interests include food safety, medical diagnostics, renewable energy and water treatment. I have a strong interest in mentoring the next generation of scientists and have included 50 students in my research programs over the last 8 years.
