Topline Worm Factory

Worm composter that simplifies the whole process. I feed my worms food scraps and they make free organic fertilizer for my plants. I give it to my houseplants, too and this is the first time I have been able ot keep a Christmas Poinsettia alive and in color for several months after the holidays were over - worm tea did it! I no longer really need a garbage disposal and my trash doesn't get all smelly anymore since most of the organic stuff is worm food. The Worm Habitat doesn't smell bad normally (first couple of days while they were settling in was all) so I can keep it in my house year-round. It is only 16" square so doesn't take up too much room. I think EVERYONE should have a worm ranch so they can say they have livestock.

Love My Little Worm Ranch
Sherrye reviewed March 13, 2009 at 2:14 pm

I love this set-up. I used to have a home-made worm habitat that was heavy and bulky and ugly - but it WORKED. Then TopLine had a sale and I got my new sleek designed multi-level worm farm. It makes harvesting the liquid fertilzer MUCH easier, and soon I will have some composted soil to kick-start my garden. I keep it inside so my worms stay busy year-round, they just slow down a little in winter. I gave my old worm farm to my sister along with all the livestock she needed. Worms are very industrius and not stinky at all. I look forward to many years of composting and free fertilizer from this little 16" square footprint unit. I got it less than 3 months ago and I am already expanding the worms' territory to the third level. My impatiens and kolanchoe have been blooming since January - multitudes of flowers OUTSIDE - and all I've been doing differently this winter is giving them worm tea.
