User Reviews: Seventh Generation Free and Clear Laundry Liquid

I used this detergent for many months. It works very well in soft water, but not as well in hard water. The value is not great, in that the 52 oz bottle only gets you about 16 loads, and that costs almost $10 - or certainly more if you have to go out of town or have it shipped in to get it (I paid $15 for my first bottle since they didn't carry it at my local health food store and it had to be shipped). I certainly prefer it to nasty-smelling, chemical- and petroleum-laden commercial laundry detergents, even for the price, but I have found a far better product and will not willingly buy this one again.
This is not an eco-product. The ingredients are not safe or non-toxic especially compared to other products available. Plus I use twice as much of this as the other laundry detergent that I use. I bought this once and won't buy it again. Go and find Ecover. It's a much better product.
This was actually on sale when I last bought it and the price was ok. I actually prefer country save detergent but I am not sure how eco friendly it is...it's just the best diaper cleaning detergent out there and it leaves your clothes wonderfully soft.
This detergent works well, but is far from concentrated.
