I have owned this composter for a while now. The literature says that I can actually "harvest" a load of composted material once month. I find that that is not true for me. It seems to me that a person must really load the tumbler quite full before the organic material will heat up enough to decompose. AS a suburban dweller, I don't generate enough waste to load it up each time. When using the compost tumbler to compost kitchen waste, it takes much longer to get to the final stage of composting. The good thing is the ease of use, the ease of tumbling, and I like it because at least I am keeping my kitchen waste out of the land fill.
