reviewed November 17, 2008 at 6:03 pm This is probably too heavy for my skin but I got it as a Huddler prize so I tried it anyway. First, the cream smells great and is quite thick. I always had oily skin and it's prone to breakouts but is starting to get dry lately. The cream took care of the dry patches and flakiness immediately and left my skin very elastic and smooth. I try not to use too much because otherwise I feel it's a bit greasy for my skin (but that might not be the case for other people). I think it's one of the best moisturizers I have tried lately and I don't think it aggravates my breakouts, which is a plus!
This is one powerful cream- a small dollop will go a long way. I really enjoy putting this face cream on; it glides onto your skin, does not feel heavy, and smells wonderful. Any dry flakiness I have before putting the cream on, temporarily disappears in an instant. It only takes a few days for the dryness to be gone for good.
However, being a natural cream without preservatives and such, it probably is more susceptible to bacteria. I try to make a point of applying this cream after I've showered so I know my hands are clean. If it came in a tube or pump (hint hint NMB!), I'd probably use a little dab here or there throughout the day (seeing as winter time = chapped skin).
reviewed October 13, 2008 at 5:25 pm The Vita C cream from Nuture My Body is great. I just ran out...this morning, I literally stood there "scraping" the inside of the jar to get the last little bits out.
It's very moisturizing and layers nicely under makeup. I can't really say how it works on "mature" skin considering my skin is not especially mature, but I do have dry skin. And let me tell you, it's a solid option for something natural, safe, and effective. My face definitely feels soft and smooth all day long. I would absolutely get it again.
