Great tool to set heating/cooling across individual come home/leave schedule....easy to manage and very effective. My wife and I get up at slightly different times....warmer when I get up, cooler when she gets up...how great it that!

Good thermostat
aridlehoover reviewed May 23, 2008 at 11:06 pm

This thermostat allows for a different program every day of the week. It also allows for the following events during a day: wake, leave, return, and sleep. This allows very good control over your heating/cooling systems.

The only downside is that programming the device is not intuitive. These devices are clearly designed by hardware engineers with little to no usability experience. Imagine if Apple built programmable thermostats. What would that look like?

Big energy saver!

I love this thermostat! I like it cold when I sleep but it is so much harder to get out of a nice warm bed when its cold in the room. During the week I set the thermostat to turn the heat back on at 6am (8 on the weekends) so its nice an warm when I get up at 7am and turns off at 7:30 so it starts to cool off and doesn't wast energy while I'm out. I actually don't really need an alarm clock anymore because at about 7:15 I start to get uncomfortable and then wake up.

Also, I'd like to mention that it's super easy to install. You don't need to be an electrician, just be able to read directions.

I have another programmable thermostat downstairs that wasn't as expensive but that one is not backlit which is a pain in the butt because there's not much light where it's positioned.
