I am a Green Plumbing Contractor, and installed my first Harpiris Energy Suncache system today.
I am installing these systems under a grant project that provides the solar panel free of charge, and also provides the homeowner with $500,00 towards the installation cost. Under the grant project, the parts and installation labor is $2000.00. Deduct the $500.00 installation labor and the balance is $1500,00. The homeowner can then get 30% Federal tax credit on this remaining amount.
The homeowner must qualify to participate in this grant project. The customer must be a So Cal Gas customer, have 3 to 4 occupants, as well as a few other restrictions.
There are approximately 75 grant funds available, as of 06/29/2009.
