This machine is small, but big enough to comfortably accommodate my household of two (and could handle a third). Cleans dishes as well as if done by hand in almost all cases. Could be quieter but isn't overly loud (after not having a dishwasher at all, it's hard to judge). It was very easy to install (small enough to fit in back of my Volvo and light enough to lift out by myself) as well as simple to hook up. I have had no problems after 18 months of use. I love it!

Ihave an 18 inch Danby dishwasher, that was installed with a remodel of my kitchen in November of 2006.

For the second time in a little over 3 months I have had to replace the switch on the door.  If this continues I am going to have to either replace the dishwasher or start washing the dishes by hand.  I am quite unhappy because I paid a lot of money for the remodel job. I would lilke to know if this is a problem with this model dishwasher.  I kind of feel lilke it might be after talking to the repairman.
