Cha Dao Japanese Green Tea

unsweetened Japanese Green Sencha uses only whole-leaf, JAS certified tea grown in the Shizuoka Prefecture. Sencha is so popular that it represents 75% of all tea grown in Japan yet it is still somewhat new to the Western world where it's attracting new tea lovers everyday.

We've chosen this particular Sencha for its' high antioxidant levels (over 325mg per bottle!) and superior flavor. Japanese Green Sencha's clean, clear taste pairs wonderfully with many rich foods, or can be enjoyed on its own.

Caffeine content: 59.4 mgs per bottle or 3.51 mgs per fluid ounce
(about 3/4 less the caffeine content of plain brewed coffee)

I had the pleasure of meeting the founder of Cha Doa Tea a while back when I saw him give his investor pitch to raise money to increase the production of his teas. The guy had a tremendous amount of passion for creating high quality, extra fresh tea.
 
I've become a stickler for ingredient lists and the Cha Dao Japanese Green Tea contains "purified water, organic sencha tea leaves" and that's it. Works for me. There's even a "Best if used by:" sticker on the top. That's nice to see because there's something unsettling about drinking something with a 15 year shelf-life.
