The 18 amazing LEDs in the CC Vivid Light Bulb produce enough light to read by, but it's not so bright that it will disturb anyone's shuteye. Using it for 12 hours a day for an entire year costs less than a dollar! Available in 12 or 120 Volts. Two-year warranty.

Warning: Installing the 12V version in a 120V socket will damage bulb.

This little light bulbs serves perfectly as a security light when I'm away from the home.  1 watt to light a small lamp by the window works great to make the place seem occupied.  It also allows me to walk inside and navigate to a brighter light without tripping.  Also, since it's so small, it fits in any fixture, though it is definitely NOT omnidirectional.
