Weird stuff - after twice rejecting my appeal, Answers has now reversed my suspension.
Subsequent to my appeals rejections, I contacted a staff member at Yahoo Green (who coincidentally, I met through Huddler), who contacted Customer Care about my situation. Linlyons also contacted Yahoo (customer care, I believe) on my behalf.
First the imposter account was banned yesterday, then this morning my account was reinstated. So at least justice was done.
I'm still pretty sick of Answers. Even though they corrected these errors, the fundamental flaws in the reporting system still exist. And lately the questions being asked are rarely worth answering. It seems like almost every "question" in the additional details insults Al Gore or calls global warming a hoax because some weatherman on CNN said so or because it snowed a little in Las Vegas.
I'll still answer some questions that are worth answering there, because I don't want the site to become a denier propaganda site. But after just a day, the Huddler climate change forum has already become a much more worthwhile use of my time. Very interesting discussions and I'm already learning a lot.
But at least we got a little justice on Answers. Unfortunately the fundamental flaws with the site remain.
