Do I drive a Hummer?

NO! I don't, but taking a look at this picture, it feels like I do:

I don't drive very often, but when I do, it's my trusty 2000 Honda Civic and it gets pretty great mileage. I almost never drive it all the way to empty, so needless to say I was bowled over when I filled up and it cost me $48.40...

Oh yeah, and it's just basic unleaded...nothing fancy.

We have a mini-van because I drive a lot of big things around (when not using my scooter). From empty to full yesterday: $90.

Arrrrgh. Luckily I only fill it up about every 3 weeks. Can you imagine all the people who drive SUV's, Mini-vans and other large cars DAILY?????? I couldn't imagine $90 per week. I would die.

isn't the gas tank capacity of a 2000 civic 11.9 gallons....? the reason i ask is because my '87 did and '96 does. wikianswers says 11.9  for a 2000.  i hope there is more to the story than a gas station ripping you off...

First off - great catch! I did a quick look and found this article:

http://epistolary.org/226.html

It claims that the tank is actually 13.6 gallons...interestingly it also say in the gas calculations that they drove it with 14.4 gallons at one point...not sure how that works.

Anyway, I got all excited for a second thinking we had a scandal on our hands, haha.
