Climate skeptics playing fair once again

Strange that the skeptics have been silent about this article.

They have no honor or integrity with respect to politics or science.  Why anyone believes them is a mystery.

When you're in denial, the ends always justify the means.  After all, the poor coal companies are just doing what they can to fight against the global warming conspiracy!

I don't think a guy like Lindzen or the coal companies are in denial.  Internet skeptics are in denial, but the coal lobby and a few of the professional skeptics know exactly what they are doing.

The answers to your question on Y!A are amusing, by the way.

Did anyone else notice Heinz Hug is on the list of German notable scientists?  He's the one who claims atmospheric CO2 can't have a radiative effect because absorption is saturated.

I don't follow the Y!A but agreed gcnp58 - those guys are professional by definition - as if you don't know what you are doing you end up in the unemployment line. They have a function to perform and do it - ethical or not!

At a company where I used to work (in the third world), you could forget any assistance from the commercial guys for at least two weeks after the new national budget came out. They were busy trying to find the loop holes and how to best use it to the companies advantage - correctly or not. The company made a fortune by doing business that way!

I thought it was quite amusing that you pointed this out on "Conservative's" question , along with the comment that Hug is not a "noted atmospheric physicist, climate scientist, or oceanographer".  Then comes James E responding to a different question by waxing philosophic (his usual blather about nothing relevant) that "most skeptics I have encountered are involved in active earth science studies such as meteorology, geology and oceanography as well a good history background".  Sometimes the irony is too much.

But this question takes first prize for idiocy.  It just goes to show what you can accomplish if you combine a false premise, incorrect logic, bad input data, and an incoherent view of policy.  It just goes to show that, as said on despair.com, there are no stupid questions, but there are a lot of inquisitive idiots.

Most of his questions/answers simply baffle me.

Yeah, Ottawa and Gerard are two utterly illogical people.  And neither has ever made a scientific argument in their questions or answers.  100% politics.

Speaking of people you can't understand, half the time I have no idea what Rio is trying to say.  He reminds me of Heretic in that respect.  I wonder if they're the same person.

Regarding my question on this subject - as I suspected, the deniers are mostly arguing that the ends justify the means.  No surprise there - most of these guys are selfish bastards with zero morals.
