What's on your reading list for the summer?

When I was a kid, I used to LOVE those summer fun reading lists my school put together...I think they also ran one in the local newspaper too.

So what are you reading this summer?

I'd really like to read Wicked.  I'm a little behind the times on that one, but I just saw the play in San Francisco and loved it.  My mom also lent me 3 Cups of Tea so that one's on the list too.

I've been (very) slowly working on Time's all-time 100 novels list from a couple of years ago. I knocked off Beloved (didn't like it), Lolita, 1984 and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (although those were in high school so I guess I should read it again), Catcher in the Rye, Catch-22, Sound and the Fury, the Great Gatsby, Grapes of Wrath, and To Kill a Mocking Bird.

I've got The Sun Also RIses and Slaughterhouse-Five so I think I'll be trying those next.

I finished the second book of the Hitchhiker Guide series so far.  I've been slowly chugging through The 48 Laws of Power.  I don't care to learn much from it, but I do enjoy the short historical anecdotes and the fables the author includes.  It's a nice book to take out and read for fifteen minutes at a time.  I hope to go through a good number of the unread books on my bookshelf this summer.

I tried to read The Sun Also Rises a year ago.  I ended up putting it down because I have a tough time getting into fiction.  It's a shame, really.

If you liked Catch-22, then Slaughterhouse-Five will well within your tastes.

Ha, not to be a copy cat, I've always wanted to read Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. This might be the summer.
