PHEV Plug in Supply Kit in use by Saintjerome!
That's fantastic! What were you driving?
This is a 2007 PHEV Prius with a kit from Plug in Supply. It was installed in December by www.autobeyours.com My blog is at www.phevprius.blogspot.com
Very nice. How much did the conversion cost you by the way?
Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I coach track and am crazy busy right now. Well...I bought a salvage car so the package deal was 23,000. This was about 5,000 below the Kelly Blue Book value. The kit I had installed was 5,000 (included in that 23,000. I believe that I got a pretty good deal. I can upgrade the kit I installed to Lithium in 2 years and they will be good for 11 years at that time. I did not get Lithium at first because they were not ready. What's great about my Plug in Supply Kit is that I don't have to change anything when I add the Lithium.
A much more affordable kit is available. You can convert your hybrid with a simple complete Li-ion PHEV conversion kit by Enginer under $2000. It is available on ebay. Search by keyword, phev.
It works with Prius 2000-2009. It should work with 2010 as well but need to wait for the new model to test it out.

Hi,
If the kit is under 2000, how much are the batteries? I can't hardly believe you can get 5 kwh with Lithium for that price. Maybe lithium ready??
