PHEV plug in Prius...Blog

I have this website posted in transportation, but it fits in renewable energy also.  Here is the blog of my PHEV Prius being built.  Simply awesome!  I really enjoy running in "stealth" mode which is totally EV!  I looked at NEV's but frankly, it is better to have a real car that can run on any road legally in Illinois.  I can go up to 52 mph in total EV mode.

Here is my latest reading driving to work today.  I'm pretty happy with that!  I also am running 50% ethanol in the car.

I'm going to keep a little better track this summer and really push the mpg.  Steve is having an Open House at Autobeyours.com this summer and I'm going to take my PHEV.  He has restored over 120 Priuses and has installed 7 PHEV kits so far.  I believe he has another in the shop right now.

PHEV

Here is the car in use this Sunday outside a Mexican Restaurant.  I am averaging over 55 mpg and on days I can plug in at home then at work, I average between 80-90 mpg.  Not too shabby!
